The first week of HMO’s first project of 2026 marks the beginning of a new work cycle focused on caring for the harvest from its origin. This project involves the development of double-flow pre-cooling tunnels, a solution designed to efficiently address the critical moments immediately after harvest, when time and temperature play a key role in product quality.
During this week, efforts were concentrated on a fundamental stage: the execution of the concrete slab. This process not only represents the physical foundation of the project, but also the technical base upon which an efficient and reliable operation will be built. A well-planned and properly executed slab ensures structural stability, correct tunnel operation, and a safe workflow for the subsequent construction phases.
Every project begins from the ground up, and at HMO we understand that doing things right from the start is part of caring for the food that will pass through these facilities. With this first week completed, the project moves forward confidently into the next stage, always with the same goal in mind: reducing losses, preserving quality, and accompanying the harvest every step of the way.
